Ranbir Kapoor's American girlfriend is Sarah Thompson Kane!

If you were wondering who the blonde girl in the Raajneeti's promos is, she's 30-year-old Sarah Thompson Kane, who plays Ranbir Kapoor's American girlfriend in the film.

In the first look of the film, Sarah's character is described as "an innocent who wanted nothing, but lost it all". Indeed, the buzz is that in the film, the US-returned Ranbir abandons his girlfriend to continue his family's political legacy – hmmm, reminds you a lot of Abhishek Bachchan’s character in Sarkar.

Sarah's decade-long career in Hollywood includes many films and TV series including Cruel Intentions 2 and the 2008 biopic Hansie. The actress is said to have been selected after multiple rounds of auditions.

It's the first time Ranbir will be doing the jig with a foreigner - onscreen, of course!
